WAIT//LESS is your new favourite punk band. Raging bull front-woman Becky Buick is instantly mesmerizing, with robust throat shredding vocals and a total-chaos-live performance. Buick is backed by a pack of rippers, Trevor Stoddart (guitar), Michael Weiss (drums) & Allie Sheldan (bass), who play with
equal parts precision and madness.
Heavy, quick, booming riffs and a wildly energized live performance, line them up with bands like IDLES, Taqbir & GEL. Since bucking onto the Vancouver, BC punk/hardcore scene Spring 2023 the band has been relentless. Most recently opening for D.O.A. at the legendary Commodore Ballroom; just off the heels of their mutli show tenure as direct support for Pussy Riot.
Shane Ghostkeeper

Shane spent his adolescence isolated by Northern Alberta's geography, listening to country and blues
records, developing an admiration for individuals who had the ability to convey rich stories through song.
Now, with years of education and experimentation to make his first Country music record. A dedication and
tribute to his family and the stories they share.

WCMA nominee and Explore Edmonton ambassador Mouraine is a talented hip-hop artist set for a big breakthrough. His debut album, "In Search of Gold," was produced in collaboration with producer duo Deadmen and released via Birthdaycake Records in May 2023. The album includes standout appearances from respected artists such as LA native Westside Boogie, Canadian R&B icon JRDN, and MOTO. ISOG offers listeners a deeply personal and vulnerable look into Mouraine's life, all backed by bold lyricism and colossal beats.“There comes a time in every artist's career to pursue their unimaginable creativity, to find themselves and their sound. "In Search of Gold" is metaphorically a representation of my life journey. I’ve always thought that chasing possessions was going to fulfill me. But I realized that to find gold is to find your purpose, peace, and happiness, and that’s what this album means to me.”
ASKO

ASKO is a teaching lodge that you enter into with
hesitation and humility. It is an immersive experience in which, if you bring an open heart and an open mind, you will learn to listen in a different register and come out of the lodge with a different perspective than you entered. ASKO is a coming together –a meeting of emotional and intellectual knowledge, a meeting of the heartbeat and the sound of thought travelling through space. It is a place that teaches us how to listen to the energies and forces that continually create nêhiyawak worlds in spite of and despite the noise of colonialism.
Lauren Dillen

Lauren Dillen is a Toronto-based tattoo artist and musician. As a member of the band Burs, Dillen is one of four musicians cultivating an ecosystem of expansive psych-folk and rock. When it comes to her solo music, Dillen’s approach is simpler. She distills the weighty chaos of being alive into quiet moments using the soft vibrations of an acoustic guitar and her warmly affecting voice. This is the sound of a sunset after a storm.
Gnarwhal

Gnarwhal, from Yellowknife, Canada, formed in 2021, combines heavy alternative fuzz rock with doom,
grunge and progressive metal elements. Their 2023 self-titled debut album earned a Western Canadian
Music Award nomination, which was followed by their Altered States EP dropped in 2024. They've made
their mark on stages and festivals, solidifying their position in contemporary stoner rock.
Jonny Vu

Jonny Vu is a singer-songwriter whose music blends elements of pop, rap, and R&B. Since relocating to Yellowknife over three years ago, the city's energy has ignited a renewed passion for music within him. With new music on the horizon you check out Jonny's recent releases, "Light," "City," "Time," and "Babygirl," that showcase his style and vision.
Flora and the Fireweeds

Led by songwriter and lead singer Brie O’Keefe, Flora & the Fireweeds is Eva Paul (vocals/percussion), Kate Mansfield (vocals, whistling), Jean-Michel Hivon (bass), James Hodson (guitar) and David Dowe (drums). Established in 2019, they recently released their first album Green Wood co-produced with Yellowknife-based composer Carmen Braden and David Dowe. Flora and the Fireweed’s sound has been described as whimsical folk featuring sweet yet melancholy harmonies. Drawing inspiration from the natural world and the magic of Denendeh that surrounds Yellowknife, their music both captures poetic wonder the beauty of the land while also poking fun at the absurdities of modern-day life.
Sunaïra

Sunaïra sculpts sonic dance floor tapestries, weaving terrestrial rhythms in celestial harmonies embracing divine realms where earth and magic entwine. Sunaïra's music deity is an invocation of infinite healing love frequencies as a guiding light through the mystical path of life. Sunaïra enjoys stargazing & taking pictures as an eternal unravelling within each world of sounds.
The Co-op

The Co-op are Yellowknife's premier live R&B, soul, funk, and hip-hop band with a rotating cast of singers and players. The core members consist of Mike Auty, Morales, Taylor Saracuse, and Rob Wilkinson; all regular players in the YK music scene. Since forming in 2024, The Co-op have excited audiences with their unique covers and dynamic shows that get people on the dance floor.
Waivestate

Using a small modular synthesizer and a handful of outboard devices, waivestate improvises at the edge of discomfort with how much control he keeps and how much he gives his instruments. He pulls on generative motifs to build lush, dense, looping walls of shifting, organic timbres cast against danceable, off-kilter rhythms. Sometimes sweeping and cinematic, and at other times delicate and intimate, each performance has a unique trajectory and strong emotional arc.
Maazes

Maazes is the solo project of musician Shea Alain, blending dark dream pop with a hazy, atmospheric sound. Using DIY drum machine beats, ethereal guitar layers, and hauntingly distant vocals drenched in reverb, Maazes creates a richly textured sonic landscape that feels both introspective and otherworldly. The music floats between clarity and abstraction, with lyrics often becoming part of the instrumental haze.

Crook the Kid

Dylan (Crook the Kid) Jones, is a hip-hop artist and storyteller from the fly-in only community of Fort Good Hope, NWT, Canada. Born and raised in the Arctic, he has an innate passion for the culture and preservation of his home. He has taken the role of being a voice for the extreme hardship and beauty of a more rugged way of life. Mr. Jones continues to work with youth across the North, so they may find their voice through hip-hop.

Gianna Debogorski

Gianna Debogorski is an indie-folk singer-songwriter from Yellowknife who brings raw emotion into every song, drawing influence from their own personal experience and the wilderness of the North to forge a unique musical style. Whether it’s the flourish they bring when covering existing music, the playful energy of “The Moustache Song”, or the heartfelt depth of their ballads, Gianna’s music draws listeners into an intimate, emotional journey. ​Gianna’s ability to connect so deeply through music is what makes every one of their performances an unforgettable experience.
Miranda Currie

Miranda Currie is a captivating northern Indigenous singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, living and working among the Dene people in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. She walks in two worlds, with one foot in her Swampy Cree heritage and the other foot in her Euro-Canadian ancestry. In 2025, Miranda will be releasing her long awaited follow up album, entitled Home. Building on themes of northern life and landscapes, Miranda draws upon the joys and anguish of familial relations to add a resonating depth to this album. Smooth harmonies and soaring fiddle lines compliment her lyrical craftmanship that will bring your wild heart home to the north.
