Ben Cornel is a singer-songwriter based in Yellowknife, Canada. His sound is a sonic representation of home; familiar, comforting, and intimately connected to the beauty of the world around him. He made his debut in 2025 with the Evergreen EP, from which the track ‘NorthStar’ was featured in CBC’s Top 100 Canadian Songs of 2025. Ben performs solo and with backing from fellow Yellowknife indie/folk band; Hughes. He has performed at festivals like Folk on the Rocks, Ramble and Ride, Fireweed Fest, OpenSkyFest, NWTCulinaryFest, and many other community music spaces across the territory, including a sold out headlining show in Yellowknife this Fall 2025.
