Still D’ARCC
Have an idea for a public art project? Want it displayed as a part of our 2026 festival?
Still Dark Festival and the Yellowknife Artist Run Community Centre (YK ARCC) invite artists in the Yellowknife area to submit proposals for original public installation artwork designs for the 2026 Still Dark Festival.
We encourage applications from artists from varying disciplines or practices. Artwork can include photography, paintings, patterns, drawings, illustrations, sewing, beadwork, carving, textile, printmaking, mixed media, and other mediums etc. that are original creations by the artist. Ultimately, the artwork will comprise a single large installation piece featured inside or outside of one of the festival’s venues, and be guided by the three themes of community, celebration, and connection. We’ve included some inspiration for the project below, but encourage applicants to explore the what the project means to them in their proposal.
