Miranda Currie

A woman with long black hair, some of it braided with colorful accents, wearing an orange top and a gold leaf-shaped earring, standing against a plain background.

Miranda Currie is a captivating northern Indigenous singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, living and working among the Dene people in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. She walks in two worlds, with one foot in her Swampy Cree heritage and the other foot in her Euro-Canadian ancestry. In 2025, Miranda will be releasing her long awaited follow up album, entitled Home. Building on themes of northern life and landscapes, Miranda draws upon the joys and anguish of familial relations to add a resonating depth to this album. Smooth harmonies and soaring fiddle lines compliment her lyrical craftmanship that will bring your wild heart home to the north.
